Seasonal spotlight
With winter on the way, now’s the perfect time to make sure you’re getting the most from your heating system. Our residents guide to heating & hot water walks you through everything you need to know: from how your system works and how to maintain your HIU, to radiator troubleshooting and simple tips to save energy. Whether you’re new to your home or just want a quick refresher before winter sets in, it’s full of helpful, easy to follow advice.
As temperatures start to dip, many residents notice their energy use increasing and with it, their bills. That’s completely normal, but it can still catch you off guard if your payments stay the same. If you pay by fixed Direct Debit, it’s worth reviewing your payment amount to make sure it still covers your typical winter usage. A small increase now can help prevent larger adjustments later.
To see what’s considered normal winter usage for your home size, take a look at our Understanding your consumption page.
Earlier this year, many of you shared your thoughts in our Resident Experience Survey. Thank you to everyone who took the time to tell us what’s working well and where we can do better.
We’ve listened carefully and would like to share a detailed response in an open letter to all residents.
Setting up a variable Direct Debit through‘my insite’is a simple way to make your payments more flexible. It automatically adjusts to match your actual usage, so you only ever pay for what you’ve used, avoiding the build-up of unexpected balances.
With usage typically higher over winter, this payment option makes managing your bills easier. Watch our short video to get started.
If you have more than one radiator in a room, it is more efficient to have them all set to the same temperature setting.
We hope you enjoyed your quarterly newsletter and found the updates helpful. We’d love to hear your feedback, so please share your thoughts here, and we’ll see you for the next edition!
