With winter on the way, now’s the perfect time to make sure you’re getting the most from your heating system. Our residents guide to heating & hot water walks you through everything you need to know: from how your system works and how to maintain your HIU, to radiator troubleshooting and simple tips to save energy. Whether you’re new to your home or just want a quick refresher before winter sets in, it’s full of helpful, easy to follow advice.
As it gets colder, your heating will be worked harder meaning higher energy use and more frequent top-ups. If you have an automatic top-ups, you might notice it triggering more often.

We’ve listened carefully and would like to share a detailed response in an open letter to all residents.
Setting an automatic top-up is the easiest way to make sure your heating & hot water stay on without interruption this winter. Once your balance reaches a certain level, your account automatically tops-up so there’s no need to log into KURVE or worry about running low.
As usage tends to rise during the colder months, the consumption graphs in KURVE can help you keep track of your energy use, while auto top-ups make it easier to stay warm and avoid last-minute panic. Watch our video to get started.
If you have more than one radiator in a room, it is more efficient to have them all set to the same temperature setting.
