About Your Development

The heating and hot water for your home is supplied by a district heat network, which is owned by Telford Homes and managed by Insite Energy Limited.

In addition to looking after your metering and billing for your heating and hot water, we also manage the maintenance of the heat network that serves New Garden Quarter. This includes the heating assets in your home, such as the Heat Interface Unit, Heat Meter, and Guru system, as well as the heat network infrastructure itself.

Should you come across an issue with any of the above, you can contact us for assistance via the phone number listed above, where our Customer Service team will be happy to help. Should you have an emergency query, outside of the core hours stated above, your call will be automatically diverted to the relevant contractor.

About your meter

The heating and hot water that you use in your home is measured using a smart energy meter or a heat meter. This means you will only ever pay for the amount you use.

Below are the meter types used in your development.

Guru Hub

Your heating and hot water use is measured using Guru Hub, a smart energy meter. This ensures you are only charged for what you use along with a daily standing charge. This is a popular metering and billing solution that is linked to our PayPoint payment system. Your Guru Hub allows you to easily monitor your heating and hot water use, as well as the payments that you make. Your smart meter sends your meter readings to us automatically, so you don't need to take them manually. The Guru Hub is connected to Insite Energy’s payment system via the internet, so we will always know how much credit you’ve purchased.

Your Online Portal - ‘my insite’

You will now be able to set up an online account, to view your account details at any time, from any internet-connected device. Our customer portal, offers a range of functions, including checking your current balance, making payments, viewing your annual statements and payment history, and setting up an automatic top-up.
