How do you estimate my energy consumption? |
Ever wondered how an estimate bill is calculated? To keep things fair and predictable, depending on the data we have available, we use either your historic consumption over the same period last year, or last billing period, or industry average data.
The good news? Any differences between an estimate and your actual usage automatically reconcile later on. Head over to our FAQ to see exactly how this works and what happens when your next actual reading comes through to us. |

Back-billing is a way of correcting this by issuing a catch-up bill or account balance amendment for energy that has already been supplied to you but has not been correctly charged. Under upcoming rules, there is now a limit as to how far back these charges can go. Take a look at our quick breakdown explaining exactly how these limits protect you. |
